Intergenerational Story Times at the Oak Creek Public Library
Join us for Intergenerational Story Time at Oak Creek Public Library this summer. Three separate, 30-minute Story Times welcome children of all ages with their caregivers and seniors from the community, including some special guests from The Waters of Oak Creek senior living facility. They feature stories and songs followed by a playtime and social for all attendees. Upcoming dates include the following:
• Friday, June 20
• Friday, July 11
• Friday, August 1
Sessions will take place in the Multi-purpose Room on the 1st floor of the library from 10:30-11:30 a.m. All ages are welcome to attend, but children under 12 must be supervised by a caregiver. Registration is not required in order to attend.

Intergenerational Story Time is also sponsored by the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library. For more than 25 years, the Friends has existed as an independent organization of people and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library uses and services. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically in the Civic Center. Membership is free and open to adults over the age of 18. Each year the Friends donates more than $4,000 to the Oak Creek Public Library to help supplement its many services. Find out more by visiting oakcreeklibrary.org/friends.
