Join us Wednesday March 19th at the Italian Community Center as we gather once again to celebrate la tavola di San Guiseppe. This tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when people would set a table filled with food to honor St. Joseph after a period of drought and famine. It serves to express gratitude to St. Joseph for his intervention by sharing food with those in need, making it a symbol of generosity and community. Fr. Tim Kitzke and Vincent Noth of Kinship Community will share a few words after supper on our devotion to St. Joseph and the tradition of feeding the hungry. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations are most welcome and will be donated to Kinship Community Food Center-St. Casimir Site. Arrive at 5:30PM in the Festa Ballroom to enjoy Pasta with Sardines and Fennel, Eggplant Parmesan with Fried Artichokes, Tossed Salad with Orange & Grapefruit, Italian bread, coffee, tea, iced tea or milk with Zeppole for dessert. For all in attendance, a blessed take-home gift bag with fruit, small round bread, and a lucky fava bean. Viva la tavola di San Guiseppe.
Admission is $30 for ICC members and $35 for nonmembers.
