First Fridays at First Evan
David Porth will be performing on First Evan's 22-rank pipe organ on Friday, September 4 at 5:30 PM.
He has served Pilgrim Lutheran Church and School in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, since 2014 and currently serves as Staff Minister. In this role, he oversees worship support and planning, communications and engagement, evangelism and outreach, and pastoral assistance.
David holds an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Martin Luther College and a master’s degree in church music from Concordia University Wisconsin. His passion for music and education has also led him to serve as adjunct professor of organ at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
In addition to his work at Pilgrim and WLC, David serves as worship coordinator for the Southeastern Wisconsin District of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and is a member of the executive committee for the 2027 WELS Worship Conference.
Engaged in the broader community of church musicians, David is an active member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and serves on the advisory planning group for Lectures in Church Music, a conference held annually at Concordia University Chicago.
David lives in Menomonee Falls with his wife and two children.
