"I Wonder... What It Would Be Like to Write Poetry?"
You don’t have to be a writer to write a poem. You just have to be willing to look closely at something.
In this evening workshop presented by The Center with Miami Poetry Club, you’ll explore ekphrastic poetry, the practice of writing in response to visual art. Guided prompts will help you slow down, notice what you feel, and find language for it. No rules, no grades, no “right” answer.
Facilitators will walk you through observation exercises, writing prompts, and open conversation. If you want to share what you wrote at the end, you’re welcome to. If you’d rather keep it, that’s fine too.
No writing experience required. Just bring yourself.
