Join the Ladies Empowerment and Action Program (LEAP) for an unforgettable evening at the Second Chance Gala: Celestial Masquerade, hosted inside the stunning contemporary galleries of the Rubell Museum on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This immersive, high-concept affair marks 17 years of LEAP’s groundbreaking work in South Florida. For nearly two decades, LEAP has built a comprehensive rehabilitation model designed around the immediate, stark realities facing justice-impacted women: safe housing, stable community support, and finding an employer willing to give them a first shot. Through trauma-informed jail and prison programming, transitional housing, and paid workforce development at Dragonfly—LEAP’s beautifully curated resale boutique in South Miami—the organization transforms lives and families. The data speaks for itself: since 2009, LEAP has served over 2,000 women, maintaining a local recidivism rate below 7%, compared to a staggering U.S. national average of roughly 58%.
What is Occurring:
The Celestial Masquerade is designed as a fully sensory experience. Guests will be treated to moving performances by LEAP program graduates and a dramatic live opera performance arranged by celebrated Miami fashion icon Radmila Lolly. The evening features an interactive constellation wishing wall, mystical tarot card readings, a 360-degree photo activation, and exclusive, personalized luxury keychains crafted by sustainable exotic-skins brand Piper & Skye.
