Navigating for a Cause

Boutique Travel Advisors, a luxury travel company based in Scottsdale with offices in southern California, is pleased to present the first-ever ‘Navigating for a Cause’ on Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Volanti in the Scottsdale Airpark. The proceeds will raise critical funds for Chase Rauchle PTSD NOW! (PTSD NOW!), a nonprofit focused on radically improving the veteran mental healthcare system and reduce suicide among U.S. military personnel by advocating for better prevention, identification, and treatment of depression, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder. This event promises an evening of gourmet food, live music, dancing, and a fun, interactive scavenger hunt that combines philanthropy with travel inspiration. Each guest will receive a special passport to explore different travel options, from cruising to hotel stays and group adventures. Guests can collect stamps at each destination for a chance to win exciting travel prizes and unforgettable experiences. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the attire theme: First Class style, showcasing their best cocktail attire while blending urban chic with sophistication. They will be transported into a world of luxury and adventure. The Flashback Cadillac will be the featured entertainment for the evening. Their high-energy performance will feature classics such as "Great Balls of Fire," "Play That Funky Music," and "Wagon Wheel," sure to keep the crowd on their feet. In addition to the engaging evening program, the event will feature both a silent auction and a live auction with exclusive items, including a SeaDream cruise to the Mediterranean and other luxury travel experiences such as stays at andBeyond resorts and goods from The Bicester Collection. Silent auction categories will include food and wine, family, adventure, cruise, and wellness. All proceeds will support PTSD NOW!, which educates policymakers, develops improved military protocols, and raises funds for specialized counseling services for veterans. “By partnering with PTSD NOW!, we are helping contribute to their mission of enhancing veterans’ well-being through access to mental health treatments, resources and support upon returning home from duty, safe and sound,” said Angie Rice, co-founder of Boutique Travel Advisors. “At the heart of Boutique Travel Advisors, we believe travel can be a transformative and healing modality by empowering and inspiring individuals and fostering social and cultural understanding on a collective level.” Craig and Julie Rauchle, founders of PTSD NOW! and residents of Scottsdale, are serving as the inaugural event’s honorary chairs. Their son, Chase, was a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard who suffered from PTSD after his tours of duty as a gunner in Afghanistan. After numerous failed attempts to receive help, Chase took his own life on Sept. 9, 2019. His parents have made it their mission to raise awareness and money, locally and nationally, in honor of Chase. “Our son’s journey has deepened our commitment to ending suicide in our military,” said Craig Rauchle, founder of PTSD NOW!. “My wife Julie and I are honored to serve as the honorary chairs. Thank you for standing with us.” For Boutique Travel Advisors, the cause is also a personal one. “Since our inception, in addition to planning premium, ultra-luxury travel experiences for our clients, we have also incorporated philanthropy into our clients’ itineraries, allowing travelers to give back to local communities if they are so inclined,” said Rice. “This event is an extension of this philanthropic arm, focused on helping our partners, sponsors, team members, friends and the community-at-large to give back with us in a meaningful and fun way. We intentionally support causes that align with our five Pillars of Community: joy, wellbeing, connection, sustainability and gratitude.” Tickets for the event start at $150. Sponsorships range from $1,500 to $10,000. “This event would not be possible without our generous partners and sponsors, including Silversea Cruises, SeaDream, andBeyond, H|X (Hurtigruten Expeditions), Arch RoamRight, RBN Rewards, Abercrombie & Kent and The Bicester Collection” said Rice. In addition, every cruise and trip reserved through Boutique Travel Advisors between now and Dec. 31st, up to $250 will be donated back to PTSD NOW! by mentioning Navigating for a Cause to a Boutique Travel Advisor.
