Desert Overture, with its more than 70 musicians, was formed in 2010 and remains a hidden cultural gem in the Valley of the Sun. The concert band is an active member of the Pride Bands Alliance, which has grown to 37 member bands across the country, as well as internationally. The group performs several major concerts each year.
Desert City Jazz is a jazz/swing band comprised of many of the best musicians in the Phoenix area’s LGBT and Friends community. Formed in 2015, the band performs to sell-out crowds in venues such as The Nash jazz club, Clarendon Hotel sky deck, and The Rhythm Room.
“The holiday concert is always a crowd favorite,” said Scott Helms, Desert Overture Artistic Director. “With an entertaining variety of holiday selections, the audience will not be disappointed.”
