Fearless Kitty Rescue February Activities Support Silver Whiskers Program

Fearless Kitty Rescue puts the spotlight on their Silver Whiskers Program during February. The entire month will be dedicated to raising funds for the Rescue’s senior kitties. What is the Silver Whiskers Program Deanna Schlagenhalt, director of Fearless Kitty Rescue, said, “Launched in 2024, our Silver Whiskers Program is dedicated to giving senior cats the care and loving homes they deserve. Silver Whisker kitties are those aged 7+ who arrive needing comfort, and often medical care to prepare them for adoption. In 2025, Fearless Kitty Rescue welcomed 24 senior cats and we hope to help at least 35 in 2026.” She went on to give examples of the costs associated with care: • $300–$1,200 for dental procedures • $200–$500 in ongoing medical care • $80 for a wellness exam Here are the programs and events during February that will support the Silver Whiskers Program: • Shopping at the 'Love Lives Here' Art Benefit -- February 1 – 28: donated artwork from local artists will be available for purchase in the boutique every sale supports medical care for a senior cat • Pawprints of Kindness Wall -- February 1 – 28: donate $250, $500, or $1,000 for a personalized pawprint on the Pawprints of Kindness Wall and all funds during the month will go directly to Silver Whiskers cats.
