Free Tree Friday 2026
The Pi Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is proud to host its 2nd Annual Free Tree Friday on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Hightower Park & Amphitheatre in West Memphis, Arkansas.
In partnership with the City of West Memphis Parks & Recreation Department and the Arkansas Department of Forestry, this community initiative promotes environmental stewardship, sustainability, and beautification throughout our city. Free Tree Friday provides residents with complimentary trees while encouraging responsible planting and long-term care that benefits both families and the environment.
This year’s event builds on the success of our inaugural Free Tree Friday and aligns with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®’s longstanding commitment to service and environmental responsibility. By increasing access to trees, we aim to strengthen neighborhoods, support cleaner air, and invest in a greener future for generations to come.
Community members are invited to stop by, learn more about proper tree planting and care, and receive a free tree while supplies last. This family-friendly event is open to the public and reflects the power of collaboration between civic organizations, local government, and state agencies working together for the good of our community.
