Memphis Magic Night starring Joe M. Turner w/ Ry Garcia

Memphis Magic Night returns Friday, September 11 at Flyway Brewing in Memphis. The Bluff City's monthly cabaret evening of comedy, mindreading, and magic. Magic. Mentalism. Mirth. Monthly. In Memphis. (Mostly.) Headlining is magician and mentalist Joe M. Turner, joined by Memphis comedian Ry Garcia as guest comic and MC. Come early. Doors open at 6:30, and Turner spends that time working the room with close-up magic while people settle in with a drink. At 7:30 everyone takes a seat and the show proper begins: stage magic, mentalism, and stand-up, in a bar, which is where all three work best. It is a cabaret show rather than a theater show, and it is an interactive one. You may be asked to pick a card at your table. You may find yourself on stage helping. That is the point of a room this size. Turner has spent two decades building live magic rooms. He produced his own show, Shenanigans, at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta, then co-founded and co-produced Atlanta Magic Night, which ran for eleven years. Memphis Magic Night is that format brought home, and it has been running here since 2025. Ninety minutes, done by 9:00. Ages 16 and up. The room is small and the show has sold out before, so advance tickets are the safe move. Memphis Magic Night rotates through Memphis-area venues. Upcoming: October 10 at Bar DKDC.
