FREE EVENT - Physicians for Social Responsibility Wisconsin Lanterns for Peace

Physicians for Social Responsibility Wisconsin will hold its annual Lanterns for Peace event on Thursday, August 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Tenney Park, to honor the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. At a time when nuclear-armed nations are engaged in conflict around the world, this gathering offers an opportunity to remember those who were lost and reflect on the lasting human and environmental consequences of nuclear war. This family-friendly gathering invites our community to reflect, create, and commit to a future free from the threat of nuclear weapons. The event includes: ✨ Live music by the Ragin Grannies and Backyard Street Band 🎡 Performance by Beni Daiko Japanese drums 🎨 Decorate your own lantern to float at dusk πŸ—£οΈ Featured Speaker: Steve Leeper, past chairman of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation
