Heritage Park Full Moon Hike

These winter night hikes, led by naturalist David Bendlin, offer a distinct experience from the candlelight hikes mentioned previously. Unlike those events, these hikes are intentionally quiet and occur under more primitive conditions. Unique Features of the Hikes • No bonfires, hot chocolate, or treats are provided during these hikes. • Dogs are not allowed on the trails. • Both hikes are free and open to the public; however, donations are appreciated. Participant Requirements • All participants must dress appropriately for the weather conditions. • Hikers should be prepared for uncleared trails, which may present additional challenges. Experience As we walk through the woods, we will listen for the calls of owls, which are often heard at this time of year. The quiet, natural setting enhances the opportunity to connect with the winter landscape and its nocturnal wildlife.
