Tales of the Seated Cat & See Foam
Paired solo exhibitions, Nina Ghanbarzadeh’s Tales of the Seated Cat and Maureen Fritchen’s See Foam, on view at the James Watrous Gallery from November 1 through January 12, 2025. Fritchen’s sculpture is created with polyethylene foam, repurposing industrial waste material into sensuous biomorphic forms. Ghanbarzadeh works across several media, using geometric patterns and calligraphic letter forms to reflect her experience as an Iranian-American woman.
Artists’ reception will be held on November 9 from 5:30-7:30pm.
