Barrymore Theatre Presents “Baristas vs Billionaires”
Experience the Wisconsin premiere of the feature documentary “Baristas vs Billionaires.” Narrated by Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, Buffalo-based baristas organize and act, exposing the company’s union-busting tactics while explaining in their own words how they’re going to win this fight for their union—Starbucks Workers United (SBWU)— and their livelihoods! A new generation of workers is currently on strike in 85 cities until Starbucks agrees to offer a fair union contract. The screening includes an introduction by co-producer and two-time Oscar nominee, Glenn Silber, joined on stage for a post-screening Q&A panel with two union baristas.
