Join Louisville Visual Art for the opening reception of Human | Nature, a group exhibition exploring the intersection of art, science, and climate ecology through the work of artists who incorporate sustainability into their materials, methods, and themes.
Celebrate the exhibition's opening on Friday, July 11, from 4–7 p.m. Meet the exhibiting artists while enjoying light refreshments, music, and a cash bar. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on humanity's relationship with the natural world and the role art can play in inspiring environmental awareness and action.
Featured artists include Lucy Azubuike, Karen Boone, Jessica Chao, Al Gorman, Clare Hirn, Devan Horton, Claire Krüeger, Jill Pelto, Charlotte Pollock, Elyse Thaman, David Young, and Jim Weaver.
The exhibition will remain on view through August 27 during regular gallery hours.
As part of Human | Nature, Louisville Visual Art will also host two free public programs: an Art & Science Panel on August 1 and a documentary screening with Emily Cooper, followed by a performance by Ben Sollee, on August 16. These events further explore the exhibition's themes through conversation, film, and music.
