THE SHOPS AT SANTA ANITA CELEBRATES LUNAR NEW YEAR

Running now through February 28th, the experience transforms Center Court into a visually striking journey filled with rich color, symbolic décor and engaging visuals inspired by tradition, prosperity and renewal. The Lunar New Year display, which includes a series of memorable scenes, welcomes guests through a ceremonial archway guarded by custom-branded gold foo dogs and framed by illuminated cherry blossom trees. From there, guests can explore a serene garden setting with a golden bridge, cascading willow tree and glowing lanterns, followed by a traditional red gate highlighting a luminous golden coin representing the Year of the Horse. The experience centers around a magnificent golden horse — the focal point of the display — surrounded by a stone pathway, lush greenery, vibrant florals and symbolic elements representing strength, energy and forward momentum. Throughout the display, multiple photo- and selfie-worthy opportunities are thoughtfully incorporated, inviting guests to capture and share memorable moments at each stop along the journey. On a custom-built stage within the display, visitors will also enjoy a series of surprise performances and activities all month long, including live calligraphy demonstrations, tea tastings, lion dancers and special retailer pop-ups, all designed to enhance the festive atmosphere and celebrate authentic Lunar New Year traditions.
