For two decades, this signature series has brought together music, science, and culture for an unforgettable night at the Museum. Running once a month from February through May, First Fridays offers nighttime access to world-class exhibitions, live music inside NHM’s iconic diorama halls, eye-opening talks with scientists, and food and drinks from local vendors. April’s lineup features a live musical performances by Arima Ederra, an opening set to kick off the evening, plus DJ sets from MIDI Riperton and GRACE KTOWN. The evening features Life, From Our Guts to the Galaxy: Rethinking the Living World, a new discussion series in collaboration with the Planetary Program at the Berggruen Institute. April kicks off with Life at the Planetary Scale, featuring Austin Hendy, Assistant Curator of Invertebrate Paleontology, NHM; Margaret McFall-Ngai, Faculty Associate, Caltech/Staff Researcher, Carnegie Science; and moderator and neuroscientist Dr. Yewande Pearse. Together, they examine how life and Earth have influenced one another over billions of years, and how that relationship continues to shape the planet we live on today. Celebrate 20 years of First Fridays at NHM! It’s an unforgettable night of music, science, cocktails, and after-hours museum exploration. Get tickets at nhm.org/first-fridays
