Mission College Hosts Benita Bike's DanceArt

Community members, students, and faculty will take a delightful dive into the art of dance when Benita Bike’s DanceArt presents an interactive dance performance at Los Angeles Mission College’s AMP Theatre on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The Theatre is located at 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar, and easy parking is available in the structure adjacent to the campus’ circular driveway. This program is FREE and is supported by the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs, Los Angeles Mission College’s Department of Arts, Media & Performance, and the College’s AGS Honor Society.

Attendees to this unique performance will not only see beautiful dancers perform, but they will also be invited to participate in audience discussions of the dances they see. The DanceArt artists are skilled at introducing concert dance to those new to concert dance, but they also provide an enriching experience to those who are long-time dance viewers.

This performance features “Schoenfield Dances,” melding 20th century popular dance styles with a classical movement sensibility, and “Aspects of Me,” a series of solos and duets that include sections titled “Me and Myself,” “Me and the Branch," “Me and Her,” and “We.” In addition, the company will perform an excerpt from a work in progress.
