To Each Their Own, a gripping modern crime noir by award-winning playwright Travis Williams, will make its world premiere at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. The production, running from April 17 to May 4, 2025, marks the first theatrical endeavor by nonprofit organization Art Crush LA.
Set in a small-town Ohio tavern, To Each Their Own tells the story of three longtime friends who plot a series of bank heists across the Midwest. As loyalty is tested and desperation mounts, the play delves into themes of betrayal, redemption, and the lasting consequences of past choices. Known for his poetic dialogue and masterful storytelling, Williams crafts a narrative reminiscent of Sam Shepard’s gritty realism and David Mamet’s rapid-fire wit.
"This particular production has been in the works for the last two years,”said Williams. “It's been a labor of love bringing this production together with this cast and this director. There aren't enough words to express the excitement we all feel working to make this happen. We hope you enjoy the culmination of this long journey."
The production is directed by Brooklyn Sample and features a stellar cast, including Jason Madera, James Lemire, Tabitha Trosen, Travis Williams and William Wilson. Produced by Blind Toe Productions and Erin Coleman, the play promises a raw and thought-provoking theater experience.
