Benita Bike's DanceArt at Manhattan Beach Library

Benita Bike’s DanceArt, the Los Angeles based chamber modern dance company, will present a unique program of dance at the Manhattan Beach Library on Saturday, February, 28, at 2:00 pm. The Library is located at 1320 Highland Ave. This program is FREE, but registration is required for attendance (See event URL). This event is generously sponsored by Manhattan Beach Friends of the Library.

In this unique dance performance, audience members will not only see beautiful dancers dance, but they will also be invited to participate in audience discussions of the dances performed. The DanceArt artists are skilled at introducing concert dance to those new to concert dance, but they also provide an enriching experience to those who are long-time dance viewers.

This performance features “From Where I Sit,” where personalities reveal themselves in vignettes titled “Ascending,” “Tired of it All,” “Corruptor,” “Solace,” & “On Edge.” In addition, viewers will see “Benches,” a quartet set to driving steel drum music, and “Aspects of Me,” a series of solos and duets that include “Me and Myself,” “Me and the Branch," “Me and Her,” and “We.”
