Sherwood 5K Fun Run
The annual Sherwood 5K Fun Run and 1M Family Run/Walk will be held Saturday, September 28. The race, organized by the Sherwood Rotary Club, was formerly known as the SherwoodFest 5K. The competitive 5K starts at 8 a.m. following a warm up. The 1M Family Run/Walk will begin at approximately 9 a.m. People-friendly pets and strollers are welcome in the 1M. The course begins at Sherwood Forest and traverses through the Sylvan Hills Elementary and High School campuses before returning to Sherwood Forest for the most challenging part of the course – the final climb. The incline to the finish line is how the race became known as the “Conquer the Climb.”
