In observance of Earth Day, we will talk about what to do with all of those "orphan" blocks we produce while learning to make quilts.
Orphan Blocks-- They are the result of learning and experimenting. Most of my orphan blocks are extras I've made but don't know what to do with them. Some were failed experiments: sewn incorrectly, points don't match up, or I didn't like the fabrics I used. Some are blocks I've acquired over the years that someone else didn't want. In this program we will talk about how to turn our orphan blocks into a quilt. I will be bringing in blocks I've been saving up over the years, and together we will explore the fun of trying to turn a bunch of mismatched quilt blocks into a quilt top.
This program is open to all adults who have some experience with making quilts and/or quilt blocks. There is no need to bring anything to this program. If you have any questions, you can contact Peggy at: [email protected]
