Lobster Fair
No purchase is required, though visitors are usually happy to exchange their cash for a variety of delicious foods and other goods found at the fair, such as clam chowder, seafood gumbo, shrimp ceviche, turkey dinners, Hispanic foods, snacks, beer, wine, and other beverages. Continuous entertainment is provided and attractions include a silent auction, kid’s activities, and a raffle. Items for sale include baked goods, arts and crafts, religious items, used books and more.
Lobster Fair is held in the Hunt Memorial Patio, which is a picturesque courtyard at the center of the church’s complex at 2000 S. Maryland Parkway. The location is south of St. Louis Avenue and a few blocks north of E. Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas. Overflow parking is available at the adjacent Fremont Middle School.
Lobster Fair is an annual fundraiser for Christ Church Episcopal and a 50+ year tradition. Proceeds benefit youth programs, the spiritual growth of the church community, the church facilities, and outreach to the community. Christ Church distributes groceries to hundreds of families in need and homeless individuals, provides meeting space for recovery groups, and hosts various musical performances throughout the year, including concerts on the largest pipe organ in Nevada.
