Just Action: Fair Housing Through Policy, with Leah Rothstein
In honor of Fair Housing Month, renowned housing policy expert Leah Rothstein will offer an insight-packed session that reveals how communities can expand housing for everyone through concrete, actionable steps. Rothstein has more than two decades of housing policy experience as a consultant to governments, affordable housing groups and developers across the country. In 2023 she co-authored Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law with her father, Richard Rothstein, a much-cited Distinguished Fellow of the Economic Policy Institute who is known for his groundbreaking work on the effect of segregation in housing and education. Just Action lays out the framework to guide communities in identifying and removing barriers to housing through better policy decisions. April is Fair Housing Month, honoring the Fair Housing Act of 1968.
