HorsePower has offered relational HELP to youth at risk by developing essential life coping skills in an equine-facilitated ranch environment since 2001. HorsePower is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, helping children and adolescents since 2001. Your monetary donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
STUDENTS | Students are either institutionalized or in a foster/adopt situation. They are ages 6 to 18 with 40% being teenagers. We serve up to 6 Students per Class; Up to 4 Classes per session; 4 Sessions per Year.
VOLUNTEERS | Over 120 unique, active volunteers and supporters, 34% have been serving for over 6 years. Each class requires up to 12 volunteers serving as Instructors, Mentors, and HorseHandlers.
DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISING EFFORTS | Provide Scholarships for students so all are able to participate. Cover program expenses like training manuals, student journals, program insurance, and continuing education for instructors; Assist with Equine Care Expenses, including feed, vet & farrier care, board, etc.
