Over the course of three chapters, you'll build your own cocktails while learning the history, techniques, and formulas that have shaped cocktail culture for generations. Think of it as Choose Your Own Adventure: Cocktail Edition. Every guest chooses their spirit, vodka, gin, or bourbon, and follows the same three chapters while creating cocktails tailored to their own palate. —— Chapter One: The Revolving Punchbowl Your first lesson demonstrates just how much one ingredient can change what's in the glass. Begin your welcome cocktail with John's signature punch base, then choose vodka, gin, rum or bourbon to experience how the same recipe becomes four completely different cocktails! Chapter Two: The Golden Ratio Once you understand this formula, you'll start seeing it everywhere! Learn the foundation behind the Margarita, Gimlet, Bee's Knees, and Whiskey Sour, and discover how a few simple changes created some of the world's most ubiquitous cocktails. Chapter Three: The Elevated Spirit When there are only a handful of ingredients in the glass, every detail matters. Learn the techniques behind spirit-forward classics like the Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or a Dirty versus a proper Dry Martini, and discover how even the smallest details make the biggest difference.
