Better Together Second Chance Job Fair
Better Together is partnering with Northside Church of Christ to host a second chance hiring fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Jacksonville.
This job fair is tailored to job seekers with barriers to employment. These barriers can include incarceration, homelessness and lack of transportation or child care, or gaps on a resume due to unemployment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions will be available to review resumes and interviewing skills, along with additional services onsite.
Better Together’s “Better Jobs” program has helped nearly 40,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.
