Spice and the Po Boys
Spice and the Po Boys is a dynamic six-piece band based in Jacksonville, Florida, known for their vibrant blend of R&B, blues-rock, and pop infused with New Orleans flair. At the heart of the group is Brittany Wescott, affectionately known as "Spice," whose soulful vocals and gospel roots bring emotional depth to their performances.
The band, led by producer and songwriter Mike Bernos, is signed to the U.K.-based Aardvark Records and has released two albums: Nine Lives Down and Soul to Soul. These albums showcase original tracks like "One Shot," "Soul to Soul," and "Once, Twice, Baby Good Night," which have been distributed internationally. Their music is characterized by authentic storytelling, exploring themes of love, personal struggles, and redemption.
Spice and the Po Boys have graced stages at numerous festivals and events, including Porchfest, Springing the Blues, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, and The St. John's Riverkeeper Oyster Roast. Their engaging performances have earned them recognition, with WJCT naming them Jacksonville's most popular band in 2015.
