Proceeds from the event will benefit the Compassionate Care Fund which helps provide care for critically ill children and their families who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
The scenic 10K and 5K routes begin on the east side of the stadium and weave through downtown, along the St. Johns River and over the iconic Hart Bridge. The free one-mile fun run is perfect for children and families who are not competing in a timed race.
Registration fees start at $40 for the 10K and $30 for the 5K with pre-registration available online until Friday, Dec. 6. On-site registration will be available on the day of the event for an increased fee.
Participants of all ages can enjoy activities in the Runner’s Village including the VIP KidZone presented by VyStar Credit Union with live music, games and inflatables, mascots, photo opportunities, food and refreshments.
All race proceeds benefit the Nemours Children’s Health Compassionate Care Fund. The fund plays a vital part in caring for children with chronic conditions such as eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), sickle cell disease (SCD) and cystic fibrosis (CF). More than 40% of school-aged children and adolescents in the United States have at least one chronic health condition. These patients’ healthcare needs can be complex and continuous, including daily management and addressing potential emergencies.
