CAF Barnstorming Days Lands in Central Indiana This Weekend
Experience Living History in the Skies – Free Flights for Veterans Provided by FedEx
FISHERS, IN – The Indiana Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is bringing history to life this weekend as CAF Barnstorming Days takes flight over Central Indiana! This immersive aviation event, presented in partnership with FedEx & Tom Wood Aviation, kicks off Saturday, May 10th from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport in Fishers, IN.
Attendees will have the rare opportunity to fly in authentic World War II training aircraft, experiencing first-hand the thrill and heritage of aviation’s golden age. Through the generous support of FedEx, a limited number of flights will be provided free of charge to veterans and their families. The general public is welcome to purchase flights, with all proceeds supporting the mission to preserve and operate these historic aircraft for generations to come.
“This is more than a flight—it’s a tribute,” said Mark Van Zant. “CAF Barnstorming Days is about honoring veterans, educating the public, and inspiring future aviators by keeping these flying museums in the air.”
