Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier
Dateline: INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, February 2026 — The 4th Wall Players will be performing “Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier,” a musical parody of Aladdin written and originally performed by Starkid Productions.
Katherine Gibson returns to the director’s chair for our upcoming musical production, with Tracy Fouts as her assistant. “One of the things I love about Twisted,” says Katherine, “is that, like Wicked, it tells the “true” story of a misunderstood character. It asks the question “what if Ja’Far was just trying to fix the socio-economic issues of the kingdom while dealing with deep, personal heartbreak?” That being said, it is a very wild, completely obvious parody of many things Disney-related, but contains very adult humor and is not suitable for kids.” It is due to this that 4th Wall would like to caution parents from bringing young children if they are not comfortable with crude language and suggestive sexual content.
For people not familiar with StarKid Productions, you can plan on the performances to be both hilarious and emotional. Katherine goes on to say, “I am so excited about this cast, all of whom are very talented! It is a great mix of people who have worked with 4th Wall previously brand new faces. Everyone involved is very enthusiastic, and the rehearsal process has been loads of fun so far. I cannot wait for the audience to see all the hard work and love put into this show.”
Performances will be at the H.J Ricks Theatre in Greenfield, IN, Thursday April 2nd and Friday April 3rd at 7:30PM as well as Saturday April 4th at 2:30PM.
