Hawaiian Culture & Science Pop-Up Exhibits at Ward Centre

Kaulele is a traveling pop-up science center that provides STEM learning activities for the entire ‘ohana. The exhibit is open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm through January 31, 2026. Guests can enjoy two interactive culture and science exhibits at Ward Centre (next to Kid City) to learn about Lawai‘a (fishing) and Kaulana Mahina (Hawaiian Lunar Calendar). Admission is free for the ‘ohana to kilo (observe), ‘imi loa (explore), and noi‘i (investigate). A fishing adventure awaits at Ward Centre Join the Institute for Native Pacific Education and Culture as they unveil their newest Kaulele exhibit – The Explorers of Lawai‘a. Enjoy keiki activities, cultural demonstrations, meet the octopus, and even gut a fish! This Hawaiian cultural and science exhibit is free for all ages from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 6th, at Ka Makana Ali‘i.
