Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers celebrates its 5th year partnering with Read To Me International (RTMI), a local non-profit organization that provides parents with the skills and techniques to engage keiki in Summer reading. Each Saturday in June and July from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., RTMI representatives will engage parents and keiki in free book readings, bookmark makings, singing and learning activities at select Raising Cane’s restaurants across Oahu.
“We know reading with our keiki is important for their development and Read To Me International provides parents with the tools to do so successfully, says Ali Urbick Marketing Leader for Raising Cane’s. “Over the past five years Raising Cane’s in Hawaii has expanded our partnership with Read To Me International to include this very successful Summer reading series, in addition to our March reading events that help our keiki build their vocabulary, expand their imagination, and increase their knowledge of the world.”
All events are free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
Registration for Cane’s Read Aloud events is recommended at www.readtomeintl.org/events/

Each bookmark has a paw print to be checked for each book read. The paw prints belong to the restaurant’s mascot and namesake, a yellow Labrador Retriever named Raising Cane.
After reading 7 books, keiki can turn in their completed bookmark to their local Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant to get a FREE KIDS COMBO.
Parents and educators can learn more about how Cane’s supports education and request bookmarks at www.canesandcommunity.com
