Join us for the Pacific Islands Ocean Exploration Center's December film screening of Moananuiākea One Ocean. One People. One Canoe.
Moananuiākea: One Ocean. One People. One Canoe encapsulates the journey of historic Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage. Initiated by the Polynesian Voyaging Society, where people from all over the world are connected by their dependance and connection to the ocean. The captains sail thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean by using traditional wayfinding techniques to raise awareness about sustainable cultural practices and ocean conservation.
