Come join us for the 10th annual Manu O Kū Festival, celebrating the official bird of the City and County of Honolulu. Free and open to the public from 10am through 2pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025 on the beautiful coronation grounds of 'Iolani Palace. Come visit the 20 participant organization and agency booths to learn about white terns and other native flora and fauna, participate in family friendly games and activities, enjoy the musical entertainment, listen to educational speakers, or take a bird walk and look through the spotting scopes to see the guests of honor, the nesting Manu o Kū, in the trees above. Returning this year, our emcee Bryan Min will lead us through our day and local nature artist, Patrick Ching, will provide instructional painting sessions throughout the day. We plan to celebrate big for our 10th anniversary with more musical entertainment, including a performance by the Royal Hawaiian Band. Come dressed in your best nature inspired costume to participate in our costume contest to join with our flock of costume characters. Special thanks to our sponsors: National Wildlife Federation, Matson, Hawai'i Audubon Society, Conservation Council for Hawai'i, and 'Iolani Palace.
