A Season of Giving Back to Hawaii’s Youth: Promville Partners With Honolulu Harbor Nights Market For A Prom Dress Drive & Fundraising Kick-Off Event
Honolulu, HI (October 16, 2024) – In the spirit of Thanksgiving and giving back, Promville is thrilled to announce its participation in the Honolulu Harbor Night Market on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Promville’s mission is to provide economically disadvantaged high school students with the opportunity to attend their prom by offering free prom dresses. This is an especially meaningful initiative during the holiday season, when giving back takes center stage.
"Prom night is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many high school students, but financial hardship often stands in the way. Through our booth at Honolulu Harbor Night Market, we hope to raise awareness and funds to ensure that no student misses out on this special milestone," says Scarlett Godinez-Dumadag, Founder of Promville.
About Honolulu Harbor Night Market
Held at the old Fisherman's Wharf, the Honolulu Harbor Night Market is a lively weekly event on Fridays showcasing the best of Oahu's small businesses. From food trucks to handmade crafts, the market offers a unique community experience where both kamaʻaina (locals) and malihini (visitors) can enjoy a night of culture, entertainment, and local products.
Join Us: How to Get Involved
Promville will have a dedicated booth where attendees can support the cause by purchasing water and soft drinks, with all proceeds going directly toward the 2025 Prom Dress Drive Giveaway, scheduled for early March 2025. The community is also encouraged to donate gently used prom dresses, which will be distributed to high school students in need across Hawaii. By spreading the word and sharing Promville's mission, the community can make a lasting impact on Hawaii’s youth.
