Welcome to Sooper Secret Izakaya, where James Beard Award finalist Chef Ricky Goings creates a wildly delicious, ever-changing tasting menu that’s anything but ordinary.
For this special collaboration, we’re stepping into a different reality. Art Deacon is a driving force in Hawaiʻi’s cocktail scene, bringing over two decades of experience that began in New York before returning home to the islands. A 2016 World’s Best Mai Tai Champion, his approach blends technical precision with a deep respect for local flavors and culture. As a partner and brand ambassador for Kuleana Rum Works, he continues to elevate Hawaiʻi’s rum on a global stage.
In partnership with Kuleana Rum Works - a Big Island-based distillery known for crafting world-class, additive-free rum from freshly grown sugarcane - this dinner becomes a choose-your-own pairing experience. Each of the five courses is paired with a cocktail by Art from Kuleana Rum, but with a twist: you choose your path.
With every pairing, you’ll decide between the “Red Drink” or the “Blue Drink”. Each cocktail is only described by its components (think paprika, orange, chocolate), and both are designed to complement the dish, just from opposite ends of the spectrum. Same plate, completely different cocktail experience.
This 14-seat chef’s table dinner stays true to Sooper Secret form: no set cuisine, no strict rules - just an interactive, inventive tasting shaped by the moment and a little bit of curiosity.

As a little something to take home, guests will also receive a gifted 3.75 ml bottle of rum.
