Messiah - 75th Presentation
Come hear the music and voices fill our Sanctuary with songs that tell the story of Christ — from the prophecy of God’s plan to redeem humankind, to the Hallelujah chorus! This beloved oratorio is a perfect way to prepare for Christmas!
This year Central Union Church celebrates the 75th anniversary performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 7:30 PM in our 100-year-old sanctuary. This cherished tradition marks the beginning of the Christmas season for many in our community, bringing together the timeless beauty of Handel’s masterpiece with the rich musical heritage of Central Union Church.
Margaret Lloyd, Director of Music Ministries at Central Union Church, shares her excitement, “The Messiah is more than just a concert; it’s a celebration of our faith and community. This 75th anniversary performance is a testament to our enduring commitment to bringing beautiful music to life.”

The performance is FREE and open to the public.
A freewill offering will be received at the concert.
Free parking is available on campus located at 1660 South Beretania Street in Honolulu.
