Harwinton Lions Club Horseshow - April 19, 2026
Mark your calendars for the 4th annual Harwinton Lions Club Horse Show! On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the show will feature both English and Western Dressage at the Rose Meadow Stables, LLC, 280 South Road, Harwinton, CT. Proceeds from the show will benefit various Harwinton Lions Club charities. The event will be held beginning at 9 am.
Watch as horses and their riders perform a series of movements as required in a dressage test. The horse strives to achieve graceful and balanced movements through the use of subtle cues from the rider. The judge observes both the individual movements and how they flow from one movement to the next. As horses and riders progress through the levels the required movements increase in difficulty. Riders receive both numerical scores and written comments on their performance. The goal of the competition is for the rider to improve their own score using the feedback from the judge to inform their future training.
There will be food and vendors. Admission is $5. Children 12-years-old and under are free. We invite you to join us for a fun-filled day!
