Dementia Education and Support Group: The Dementia Action Plan
Senior Commons at Powder Mill hosts a dementia education and support group with informative topics to support the well-being of older adults with Alzheimer’s or other dementias and their family care partners. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 1775 Powder Mill Road, in York, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Our next meeting, Thursday, April 17, will focus on “The Dementia Action PlanTM” and the “Seven Steps to Take in the Face of DementiaTM.” Learn the basics of the who, what, where, when, and why of dementia care in the present and future. By utilizing the seven simple steps, you have the potential to make a lasting impact on your ability to successfully navigate life as a caregiver, partner, or as someone living with dementia, no matter what challenges lie ahead.
