About Our Mission:
Red Land Senior Center (RLSC) was established in 1975, and for 50 years, has been providing a wide variety of programs and services for Seniors in Northern York County. Programs and services include Daily Free Lunch Program for Seniors, Daily Activities, Offsite Day Trips, Entertainment, Educational Seminars, Games & Crafts, and Partnerships with organizations to provide a variety of critical assistance to Seniors.
Why We Urgently Need Your Support Now:
The Red Land Senior Center (RLSC) in Lewisberry has served thousands of York County Seniors for over 50 years, but is now relocating because their current lease is terminating and area Seniors need a new place for the Sr. Center. It was announced recently that RLSC has just won a bid to purchase a building and property from the borough of Lewisberry in northern York County, on which to place a Permanent Home for the Senior Center. The property is the Lewisberry Borough Community Building located at 501 Market St in Lewisberry. To complete this large real estate purchase, the RLSC is asking for help from the Red Land area Community. RLSC needs to raise several hundred thousand dollars by June 6th to meet the Bid deadline requirement, so Community help is urgently needed. Purchasing the property will allow RLSC to:
• Provide stable, long-term services and programs to area Seniors.
• Ensure consistency of operations and expand programs and services.
• Create a lasting Community asset that will serve area Seniors for many generations.
