Holiday Celebration
The Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren, 777 S. Mt Joy St, Elizabethtown, will host a Holiday Celebration on November 23, 2024 from 10am until 2pm. The Holiday Celebration is a child-focused fun activity event. Children will be able to dress up in Biblical outfits, participate in a scavenger hunt, listen to the organ playing, create a Holiday craft or two as well as taking home a balloon animal created just for them (11am – 1pm). The children will be able to shop for the family in a closed room (not peeking adults!) with a Santa Helper to assist for the small cost of $5. All volunteers will comply with the church’s child protection policy.
Food for eating onsite will be Chili and grilled cheese sandwiches. Baked goods will be available for purchase and can help get the holiday preparations started. Finally, barbeque chicken will be available to ease dinner preparations. The barbeque chicken can be frozen.
To help with the problem of gift ideas, crafts will be on sale and a silent auction will provide additional gift options.
SERRV and Equal Exchange items will be available. SERRV will provide gift ideas as well as some food related items. The Equal Exchange will feature food related items like coffee, teas, chocolates, nuts, and olive oil.
A selection of gently used items will be available at no cost. The items include household items, clothing for children through adults, children’s toys and books.
Entrance through the door under the Portico will be the starting point to receive the child’s
scavenger hunt ticket.
