Carlos Moseley Chamber Music Series: Danish String Quartet Concert
The Danish String Quartet will perform on Monday, April 7th in Daniel Recital Hall at Converse University (580 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302). This concert begins at 7:30pm and is followed by our prestigious post-concert champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception where you can meet and talk with the performers.
The Danish String Quartet got its start as pre-teens at a summer music camp in rural Denmark, “hanging out and playing football and chamber music.” Not thirty years later they stand at the pinnacle of the chamber music world, “ensemble music at its purest,” according to the New York Times, which also says, “…some of the most essential listening of the past decade. No recording could quite capture what makes the Danish so special in concert, could make indelible the fleeting aura of rapt, intense concentration that settles in a hall when they are at their best.”
