“A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens JR,

Abrams Spotlight Productions Inc. will present a new take on one of the greatest holiday stories ever told. ASPI will present “A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens JR,” directed by Bobby Buffington and featuring 42 youth from the area. Tickets can be purchased now by visiting abramsspotlightproductions.com or calling the box office, 920-826-5852. The all-youth show will be presented Dec. 4-7 and Dec. 11-14 at the Nancy Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St., Abrams. Buffington describes the show as a new twist on the timeless story of “A Christmas Carol.” “But rather than Ebeneezer Scrooge as the main character, Charles Dickens himself is the main character,” Buffington said. “The show is filled with Christmas joy, fun moments, and great lessons to think about.” Based on book #44 from the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne, this holiday adventure follows Jack and Annie as they travel back to Victorian London and meet the legendary Charles Dickens. Through the power of friendship and kindness, they help him rediscover the spirit of the season. “A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens JR” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. The book for the show is written by Jenny Lard and Will Osborne, with lyrics by Randy Courts and Will Osborne, and music by Randy Courts.
