Historic Adobe Work Days/ Brick Making
Saturday, April 12 at 10-2 and Saturday, May 3 at 10-2
Get hands-on with history at the Magoffin Home State Historic Site! Join us for Historic Adobe Workdays on April 12 and May 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn the age-old craft of adobe brick-making using traditional methods and materials from Magoffin Home staff and volunteers. Not only will you contribute to preserving this historic treasure, but you'll also enjoy a delicious hot dog lunch! All participants will also have a behind-the-scenes tour of the Magoffin Home, highlighting areas of future preservation that are usually kept behind closed doors.
Participation is just $10 per person, and space is limited, so be sure to RSVP early. This is a unique opportunity to connect with El Paso's history, meet fellow preservation enthusiasts, and leave your mark on this historic site.
This workshop is hosted by the Texas Historical Commission and the Magoffin Home State Historic Site located at 1120 Magoffin Avenue. Make your reservations fast as space is limited!
