Michigan Philharmonic presents Sounds of the Pacific Rim

Music and ancient instruments of the Pacific Rim come together in one concert celebrating the cultural heritage of the Pacific Basin. Featuring Chinese-born Erhu master, Xiao Dong Wei, performing The Crouching Tiger Concerto for Erhu and Chamber Orchestra, - a concert work based on Tan Dun’s Oscar-winning score for Ang Lee's Oscar-winning film, Crouching Tiger- Hidden Dragon. Japanese Taiko Drums will also take center stage with the orchestra for a piece celebrating these ancient percussion instruments.🥁🎶 Great Lakes Taiko Center
