Michigan Makers Market at The Hawk is a juried, indoor fine arts fair that features free admission and an array of high-quality art in a variety of price ranges and disciplines including ceramics, jewelry, painting, fiber, photography, wood, wearable art, glass, leather and sculpture.
Michigan Makers Market at The Hawk takes place in the Performing Arts Wing of The Hawk Community Center. Guests can enjoy beer, wine, pretzels, pizza and slushies as they shop. Guests can also check out new art from 47 local artists that are installed as part of the Public Art Program
But the Makers Market is more than just a craft fair - it's a chance for community members to find out how they, too, can become a maker at The Hawk's art studios and immersive Makerspace on the second floor. The Makerspace is a place that empowers makers of all ages and abilities to learn a new craft by providing access to all the necessary tools and equipment, as well as a creative community with a wealth of resources and knowledge, from sewing to woodworking.
