Grosse Pointe Theatre will present the beloved holiday classic, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, with eleven performances Dec. 5-21 at the new, state-of-the-art Schaap Center, in Grosse Pointe Park.
With a beautiful music score by Irving Berlin, this production is an uplifting story of kindness, humanity, and love, weaved together by amazing voices, spectacular dancing, and stunning costumes and set.
The twenty-six-member cast and twenty-five-member crew will provide an entertaining and heartwarming experience, including a tribute to veterans, ensuring an unforgettable performance celebrating the true spirit of the holidays.
Eleven performances: evenings at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $29. Parking is free.
There will be pre-curtain entertainment by several metro Detroit choral groups 30 minutes before curtain. A special appearance by Santa and Christmas Carol will take place prior to curtain on Dec. 11 and Dec. 14. Patrons should arrive early to enjoy the entire experience and beautiful amenities offered at the A. Paul and Carol C. Schaap Center for the Performing Arts and the Richard and Jane Manoogian Art Gallery.
