JJoin the Torch of Wisdom Foundation for ArtEx 2026, an intimate,
bus-guided cultural journey through four Detroit galleries and
cultural spaces, organized around the progression Rhythm → Voice →
Story → Legacy.
The journey begins with Rhythm at Jason Phillips Studio, featuring
trumpeter Allen Dennard. It continues with Voice at Irwin House
Gallery, featuring Detroit Poet Laureate Jessica Care Moore; Story at
The Hendrie, featuring storyteller Rochelle Wilson-Ellis; and Legacy
at the N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art, featuring renowned
gallerist George N’Namdi.
At every stop, guests will experience visual art, a live cultural
presentation, conversation, and a curated tasting from a Black-owned
wine brand. The featured wine experience will include VIARAÉ Prosecco,
Twine Urban Winery, Theopolis Vineyards, and Brown Estate, with
sommelier Chuck Jackson helping guide the tastings.
Award-winning journalist Ed Gordon, an Emmy Award and NAACP Image
Award recipient, will serve as ArtEx 2026 Honorary Chair.
Guests will check in and board the Art Bus at the N’Namdi Center.
Transportation to all four locations is included. Space is limited.
