Remembrance Tree Lighting
Saturday, December 6 • 4:00 p.m. (Tree Lighting at 5:15 p.m.)
Join us at Mt. Olivet Cemetery for our annual Remembrance Tree Lighting Ceremony, a cherished tradition honoring the lives of loved ones who have gone before us. All families are warmly invited to share in an evening of reflection, comfort, and community. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., guests will enjoy live music, heartfelt prayers, fellowship, and holiday refreshments within our cozy warming tent.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 5:15 p.m., illuminating the night with the light of love and remembrance. Personalized memorial ornaments are available through December 6 for a $5 donation, allowing families to commemorate their loved ones in a special way. Proceeds support Toys for Tots of Michigan, serving Wayne and Macomb Counties.
Mt. Olivet is also proud to serve as a Toys for Tots collection site, accepting new, unwrapped toys from November 1 through December 6 in the cemetery’s front lobby.
